This is the best time of day, when baby is freshly laundered, food is in our tummies, and Sandra Boynton pays us all a visit.

In case you were wondering, we're venturing into the world of selling our possessions on eBay... And Cora's totally on board with all the research involved 😂

Tiny tornadoes
This is life now, working on concentration skills with a tiny, beautiful tornado. This child is full of exuberance and loves new things, small creatures, orphaned babies, and anything with moving parts. She loves figuring things out on her own, and will scramble over to us to show us something she's learning, even if she has no idea what's going on.
I tell our little Bear almost daily that "God made you just right," and I wholeheartedly believe that. Especially when I see bits of my hubby or myself in her.

Books!
This little girl loves her books!! We got A Mi Manera from the library and I'm not sure which she liked more, the crinkly library binding or the illustrations of two little friends doing things throughout their day... Bear is almost a year old, and her mama loves that this book is in both Spanish and English. We give this book five paw prints ☺

Books
Hope reading counts as not much! :)
I'm on the third book in the Divergent series; I got Divergent free from Redbox a week ago, and basically it did not really compare to the book. it seemed very... stale. But that's okay, here's to another free movie soon to check out Insurgent. :) The books are a relatively fast read, along the lines of the Hunger Games, but in Chicago-ish. Give 'em a try if you need some down time. ...but maybe not before bed if Things Keep You Up.

Baby problems
What do you do if the book you want to read just happens to be unavailable because you're sitting on it??

Barefoot / Helper By Design
(Side note- one of my friends in college went barefoot all over the place. She is one of my heroines :) okay, un-sidenote)
I've been reading "Helper By Design" by Elyse Fitzgerald (borrowed from Jeri), and it's a great book so far. The author is very learned, and well-written. Basically (though I'm not that far in) it's an extrapolation (although I am not quite sure that is quite the word I want to use there) of the word "helpmeet" (KJV translation) in Genesis as referring to Eve.
:)
More to come, if I remember.
Also, my online class started, and I might have to buckle down and do very well in it this time around, seeing as the last class-and-a-half I wasn't even able to log on... ick.
Praising God for the summer "break," though. :) ..among other things.

twins in community
"In the alternative model, it is not only Bob and Mary's issue when the babies are born. It is an issue for the whole church. The congregation takes on some of the responsibility because their identity and life is that of persons-in-community. So perhaps a couple of people go around early each morning to bathe the babies so Bob and Mary can have some time together over breakfast. Or someone offers to take Bob to work for a few months so that on the way Bob can sleep or read his Bible, or they can pray together because Bob is not getting much chance to do these things at home. Bob and Mary may not be as involve in the church meetings, but they are more involved then ever inthe life of the community." (from the chapter entitled "Why Community?" in the book Total Church by Tim Chester and Steve Timmis)
